In July and August of 2006 I traveled with the Houston Zoo to Gabon, Africa on an amazing adventure filming incredible animals from forest elephants and lowland gorillas, to shy and elusive forest buffalo and red river hogs.

The experience of a lifetime, at one point I had the opportunity to sleep alone in a tree platform for two nights in the jungle where my dinner was consumed not by me, but by marauding ants!
